Progressions
Brookline High School, Spring 2023
Choreographed by BHS Students with guidance by Britteny Hyslip, the annual student showcase PROGRESSIONS is shown in completion here.
The pieces are chosen through the students after completion of the PROGRESSIONS work packet, which can be found here.
After each student finishes the packet the dancers share their ideas through circle, and pieces are picked after group discussions and voting. The class has from January to April to choreograph, Stage, and Costume each piece, as well as audition extra, small group pieces.
Did You Hear?
Brookline High School Spring 2023
As an end of the year project, Brookline high students were challenged to make concept videos.
Students learned about A roll and B roll, the difference between film and stage choreography and used that information over the span of eight classes to create pieces that told a story through dance. Each group used an organizational sheet to track scenes and ideas as well as keep track of the information they needed for credits.
The film organizational sheet for this specific film can be viewed here.
